My First Quilt

Last year when I started quilting, my husband encouraged me to pick one that would be easy to assemble.  He said starting easy would let me realize that I could do this.  Pretty smart guy there.  Anyway, I took my son to a fabric store and let him pick out some fat quarters – he chose all puppy dog designs.

I made a ‘Turning Twenty’ lap quilt using 11 fat quarters, then had it quilted at Heart to Heart Quilt store in Trussville.  They offered to quilt in any pattern I chose but I did not have any idea what COULD be done so I told them to have fun.  They returned it with quilted dog bones.  Xander LOVED it and now it goes where he goes.
